DANANG/ HOIAN – CAM THANH COCONUT VILLAGE (LUNCH)
8:30-9h00 AM : Our car and tour guide will pick you up at your Da Nang hotel in the morning before we begin our journey from Hoi An to Cam Thanh coconut village.
Here, to discover its beauties, you can take a basket boat (Thung Chai) trip through the coconut forest and discover more about the community and daily life of Vietnamese fisherman. The coconut forest has been home to many aquatic species for generations such as: fish, shrimp, crab and even animals soft body. In addition to defending the Cham Islands World Biosphere Reserve from the sea’s waves, it has shielded the Cam Thanh inhabitants.
Additionally, locals will show you how to paddle the distinctive bamboo basket boat used only in Vietnam. You will hear tales of earlier conflicts and the trying circumstances that soldiers faced. It was a bloody battleground. Quang Nam’s Cam Thanh people were renowned as the “land of steel” during the war, fighting the enemy to secure the nation’s independence.
You will undoubtedly experience the sensation of floating on the waves of water and will participate in an equally enjoyable basket boat race between the baskets in the cheering and bustling music drum.
Participate in river fishing with locals and get experience with cast or round nets. Learn more about life and people while also learning how to take attractive photos.
Following that, you will have lunch at a local restaurant (optional). Before saying goodbye to your hosts and returning to the hotel, take a moment to unwind and take in your surroundings.
14h00: Car and tour guide will take you back to the original pick up point. End of the Bay Mau coconut forest tour 1 day. Goodbye and see you soon!
